Ericar1101 Crowned September's Community Cup USA & Canada 2023 Champion

2023-10-31

September held another exciting monthly tournament of UNO!™ Mobile Wildcard Series: Community Cup USA & Canada 2023, crowning Ericar1101 from New Brunswick, Canada, UNO! Mobile’s newest esports winner this year!

Ericar1101 has been a long-time player of UNO! Mobile and regularly watches the Community Cup USA & Canada 2023 tournaments, having played UNO from a young age:

"I’ve been playing UNO since I was a little girl! I still remember unwrapping a deck at my christmas party!

My hobbies are playing games on my phone like UNO! Mobile but i do like to go out for drinks with friends and chat. I usually play with random people but from time to time, my bestie Kristen will pop on and play with me."

When Ericar1101 isn’t playing UNO! Mobile, she’s taking care of her animals and working hard to become a pharmacy assistant:

"On a typical day, I mainly just do a lot of housework and take care of all my animals. My partner and I love to go for drives along the country and walk some trails. I'm currently unemployed as I get ready to start school to become a pharmacy assistant!"

Ericar1101 feels that her competitive nature in her daily life is what has helped her take the September crown. She reflects on her strategy during the tournament and gives her top tip to other players:

"I was so nervous! I remember waiting all day for it and watching the clock like a hawk. It was honestly one of the coolest things I've done – Kinda felt like my superbowl!

My tip is to keep an eye on what others are putting down and when they're drawing!"

Ahead of the epic Grand Finale this November, Ericar1101 offers her words of thanks and her plans to take the crown:

"Thank you to my friends and family for screaming at the screen with me haha!

I'm gonna keep playing UNO! Mobile and keep challenging myself. I went in pretty confident before so I don't think the Grand Finale will be any different!"

UNO! Mobile and Mattel163 would also like to say congratulations to Danl from Ohio, USA for coming in second place and securing a spot in the Annual Grand Finale this November. An extra special thank you goes to 3rd and 4th place players Chocolate from Indiana, USA, and Autumn Tay from British Columbia, Canada for their outstanding performances!
